Three Things Thursday - CNY Geology

Kimberly LaCoe, Waste Reduction and Recycling Outreach & Education Coordinator DEC Region 7, shares her love of geology with us this evening. To understand Geology, one needs a basic understanding of the Earth’s structure and composition. To understand the geology of Central NY, one needs to understand the Earth’s surface and subsurface processes over time. She’ll discuss the history of Earth’s surface processes that have developed the substrates (subsurface solids) of our Central NY neighborhoods, yards, and general geographical regions. We will also discuss fossils common to this area and their origins. Call or email to register.
