The CNY Envirothon is a high school science competition where students test their knowledge in five different fields. Forestry, Soil Science, Wildlife and Aquatics are annual staples and at the fifth station there is the current issue which changes each year. There is also an oral presentation that is given at the event.

The winning team at the local level moves onto the NYS Envirothon Competition.
